The History of JVA

1992 – Joanne Vero volunteers as a CCD Instructor at Saint Robert of Bellarmine Church and is still teaching to date.

1994 – J. Vero & Associates (JVA), originally a home-based business, is established by Joanne Vero.

1995 – JVA is contracted by Penske Truck Leasing to conduct a pilot program which would assist their prospect and business development sales team.

1995 – JVA begins to assemble a team of qualified professionals to assist the needs of their growing client base.

1996 – Penske Truck Leasing expands their contract with JVA to assist with their local and national sales operations.

1997 – The Union County Chamber of Commerce contracts JVA to become the outreach team to assist the newly hired president with a wide variety of business development services designed to turn around dwindling Chamber membership.

1998 – JVA successfully launches their first monthly newspaper, Inside Business, for The Union County Chamber of Commerce, presently known as The Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce. The success of Inside Business, with a circulation of 25,000, has resulted in creating a new revenue base for the Chamber, along with stimulating an awareness of the many benefits that the Chambers can offer to the local and national business sector.

1999 – JVA is hired by the Jersey Shore Partnership, a shore replenishment advocacy organization, to contract advertisements in their quarterly newsletter. JVA was also contracted to sell sponsorships for their annual meetings and their annual “Summer Celebration.”

1999 – The Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority hires JVA to represent all printed promotional and marketing materials as well as sales of Duratran Back Lit kiosks which are displayed in their newly constructed Welcome Center to promote tourism in Atlantic City. JVA produces their quarterly newsletter, “Destination Atlantic City,” which has a circulation of 8,800 as well as The Destination Services Directory, formerly The Convention Services Directory of Marketing Partners, which is published twice a year.

2001 – J. Vero & Associates (JVA) is named “Business of the Year” by the Union County Chamber of Commerce.

2001 – JVA is contracted by the New Jersey Commerce & Economic Growth Division to head up a Co-op advertising campaign to increase tourism in the New Jersey Shore Region. The Co-op page was inserted in all New Jersey Daily Newspapers as well as The Hartford Courant, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The New York Daily News, The Baltimore Sun, and the Allentown Morning Call. In addition, the Co-op advertisement appeared in USA Today in the Maine to Virginia areas.

2001 – JVA purchases a historical Victorian Building in Downtown Freehold, New Jersey to relocate all of its home based operations.

2002 – JVA wins the bid to become the sole producer of Travel Media Showcase (TMS), which offers a unique opportunity for top travel journalists and travel industry professionals to meet one-on-one, at a single location, for the purpose of exchanging information and developing personal contacts. JVA will feature TMS at a new host destination each year.

2002 – JVA successfully launches their second newspaper publication, “Business Life,” for the Morris County Chamber of Commerce. This publication, with a circulation of 30,000 became the voice of the Chamber to the surrounding area.

2002 – The Jersey Shore Partnership expands their contract, having JVA become the administrative support team in conjunction to their sponsorship and event planning operations.

2002 – Joanne Vero is named the chairperson of the Marketing Committee for the Freehold Center Partnership in Freehold, New Jersey.

2002 – JVA features Montgomery, Alabama for Travel Media Showcase 2002.

2003 – The Griebling Elementary School names Joanne Vero as the President of the Parent Teacher Association.

2003 – JVA features St. Charles, Illinois for Travel Media Showcase 2003.

2003 – JVA is hired to represent the Union and Middlesex HMAC, a non-profit organization whose focus is to promote Homeland Security and the responsible handling of hazardous materials in Union and Middlesex Counties.

2003 – The Princeton Keynes Group, Inc. contracts JVA to enhance their sales operations. The Princeton Keynes Group, Inc. provides strategic research services and develops unique adhesives, coatings and additives.

2004 – JVA features Tucson, Arizona for Travel Media Showcase 2004.

2004 – JVA is hired to represent the Union County Chapter of the Salvation Army as their support team for advertising and event planning operations.

2005 – Joanne Vero is requested by The Howell Board of Education to serve on their 5 Year Strategic Planning Committee. This committee was assembled to assist the Board of Education in addressing concerns throughout their growing school system.

2005 – JVA features Niagara Falls, New York for Travel Media Showcase 2005.

2006 – The Princeton Keynes Group, Inc. contracts JVA to represent their composite wrap sales in addition to overall sales operations.

2006 – JVA features Fayetteville, North Carolina for Travel Media Showcase 2006.

2006 – Yahoo! Finance posts a press release announcing the selection of the Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa as the featured destination for the 8th annual Travel Media Showcase (TMS).

2007 – The Princeton Keynes Group, Inc. expands their contract with JVA to operate as the team that assists their back office operations and administrative support.

2007 – JVA features Palm Springs, California for Travel Media Showcase 2007.

2008 – Joanne Vero establishes Wellington Who’s Who, a national organization that publishes and profiles accomplished executives and professionals in every field. The professional registry is a private membership that is distributed to a diverse group of highly qualified individuals and is used actively by our members to network, consult, and do business with each other.

2008 – GE Energy contracts with JVA to conduct quantitative and qualitative market research for their new and upcoming products as well as administrative, back office support.

2008 – JVA launches a new marketing campaign, “Keep it in America,” which encourages companies to do business within the United States to ensure both cost effective pricing and high quality representation.

2008 – JVA features Kansas City, Missouri for Travel Media Showcase 2008.
